Moselem Springs Golf Club Named PGO Private Golf Course of the Year
The Pennsylvania Golf Course Owners Association (PGO) has named Moselem Springs Golf Club its 2025 Private Golf Course of the Year, recognizing the club’s exceptional course conditions, management excellence, and community impact.
Nestled in rural Berks County, Moselem Springs has long been one of Pennsylvania’s most respected golf destinations. Since being purchased in 2022 by the Jaindl Family—first-time golf course owners—the club has experienced a revitalization marked by operational improvements, facility upgrades, and a renewed community presence.

Under the steady leadership of Superintendent Tim O’Neil, who celebrated his remarkable 50th year at Moselem Springs in 2025, the course thrived despite a challenging season marked by extreme rain and humidity. Members and guests alike have praised the consistently superb playing conditions and welcoming atmosphere that define the Moselem experience.
The club also made notable investments in its food and beverage program, highlighted by the hiring of Executive Chef Chris Spesak, whose creativity and consistency have transformed the dining experience. A complete kitchen renovation—including all new equipment and the installation of a state-of-the-art combi oven—has further elevated the club’s culinary standards.
Beyond the golf course, Moselem Springs continues to expand its public offerings and community engagement. Listing its hotel rooms on Booking.com and Expedia led to a surge in stay-and-play packages and increased golf and dining traffic. The club remains deeply involved with local organizations such as the Fleetwood Rotary, Kutztown University, and numerous charitable initiatives supporting causes like Folds of Honor, Cornerstone of Hope, and The Miracle League.
In 2025, Moselem Springs proudly hosted several regional championships, including the PA Golf Association Mid-Amateur and the Lehigh Valley Golf Association’s Reading Open—reviving a historic PGA Tour event that last took place in 1951.
Thanks to the leadership support of General Manager Chris Walton, Moselem Springs also host the PGO’s 2025 Spring Conference East, to include treating attendees to a fabulous round of golf.
With its blend of heritage, hospitality, and innovation, Moselem Springs Golf Club exemplifies the spirit of the PGO Private Golf Course of the Year Award—a course committed to excellence, community, and the continued growth of the game.
